Here at STAR, we have so many things to be thankful for, including our tremendous year of growth! Thanks to the overwhelming support from our donors, volunteers, community partners and staff, STAR has reached an all-time high in the numbers of survivors we have served so far this year.
All of our services, including our advocacy and counseling services to survivors, educational programs for youth and adults, and community mobilization and prevention work, are provided to our community at no cost. But, of course, these services do cost money to provide.
Thriving sexual assault centers help make our communities healthy, safe and strong. With the staggering rates of sexual violence occurring all over the world, we know that now–more than ever–STAR’s services are vital to supporting those who have been affected by sexual trauma. Moreover, our prevention work is key to creating a culture free from oppression and sexual violence.
